Our annual theme at the Center for Spiritual Living Chico, “Engaging, Embracing, and Embodying the Divine,” invites us into a deeper, more vibrant relationship with life itself.
Engaging with the Divine is like an intentional handshake—a friendly, curious introduction. It’s taking that first step to acknowledge the presence of something greater within and around us. Whether through meditation, reflection, or simply mindful presence, engagement opens a doorway to deeper meaning and insight.
Then comes embracing—the warm, heartfelt hug exchanged between close friends who deeply trust and value each other. Embracing the Divine means allowing ourselves to be fully supported and cherished by life’s inherent goodness. It’s letting down our walls, feeling a sense of belonging, knowing we are safe, accepted, and held by a compassionate, loving force.
Finally, embodying is the beautiful expression of this intimate relationship. It’s the point where our lives naturally radiate the qualities of the Divine—love, joy, peace, beauty, kindness, and compassion. Embodying means that these attributes flow effortlessly through us, touching others and transforming our world.
This year, let’s journey together. Let’s reach out to engage, open our hearts to embrace, and courageously live as embodiments of the Divine. When we choose to consciously engage, lovingly embrace, and joyfully embody, we not only uplift ourselves but inspire everyone around us.
